Egg and Spoon Race  

 A fun party and schoolyard race where players balance an egg on a spoon while racing to the finish line without dropping it.

  • 1 spoon for each player
  • 1 egg for each player, often hard-boiled for easier cleanup
  • Open, flat playing area
  • Starting line
  • Finish line
  • 4 or more players
  • Mark a starting line and a finish line several yards apart.
  • Give each player a spoon and an egg.
  • Place the egg on each player’s spoon.
  • Have everyone line up behind the starting line.
  • Each player balances an egg on a spoon.
  • When someone calls β€œGo!”, players race toward the finish line.
  • Keep the egg balanced on the spoon while moving as quickly as possible.
  • Players cannot hold or steady the egg with their other hand.
  • If the egg falls, the player must stop, replace it on the spoon, and continue.
  • The first player to cross the finish line with the egg still balanced wins!
