Kaimito (Star Apple)  

A round fruit with smooth purple or green skin and star-shaped patterns inside.  

  • Kaimito (kah-ee-MEE-toh) – The Filipino word for star apple.  
  • Kaimito is sweet, milky, and very juicy, with a jelly-like texture.  
  • Cut in half and scoop out the flesh with a spoon.  
  • Season is December to February.  
  • Good source of vitamin C and calcium for strong bones and immunity.
