Lanzones  

Small, round, pale-yellow fruits with translucent, juicy segments that are sweet and slightly tart.  

  • Lanzones (lan-ZOH-nes) – The Filipino name for these tropical fruits.  
  • Lanzones are juicy, sweet, and mildly tangy — a little like grapefruit but sweeter.  
  • Peeled by hand and eaten fresh. Some segments may have a tiny seed inside.  
  • Available from September to December, especially in Paete and Camiguin where lanzones festivals are held.  
  • Lanzones are rich in dietary fiber and vitamin C.
