Mangkukulam are humans with magical powers, often feared for their curses.

Mangkukulam (mang-koo-KOO-lahm) – Means “sorcerer” or “witch” in Filipino.  

An ordinary-looking person, often holding candles or strange charms.  

In remote villages or deep in the forest.  

Some mangkukulam are said to heal as well as curse.  

Represents both fear and respect for ancient Filipino folk magic.
