Subli is both a prayer and a performance. The word comes from subsob (“stoop”) and bali (“broken”) — referring to the humble bowing posture of devotion. Dancers wear red and white, and men often use hats while women carry rosaries or candles.
✨ Fun Fact: The Subli is one of the oldest continuously performed folk dances in the Philippines — it’s both worship and art! 🙏

Basic Step – Prayer Step
1️⃣ Bow gently while stepping forward.
2️⃣ Clap softly in rhythm.
3️⃣ Raise hands slowly in devotion.
